On July 5th, Dr. Nimisha Avasthi, a scientist,
discussed malnutrition, which is observed in women, children, and young girls.
Dr.
Nimisha Avasthi stated that malnutrition is the cause of mortality in children
under five years age. Since 1990, some improvements had seen in this issue. The
age, height, and weight of children are directly related to malnutrition. This
problem has been particularly prevalent in children under five in many Asian
countries. In several states of India, malnutrition leads to both scarcity and
complete blindness. The World Health Organization has undertaken various
projects to address this issue. During the COVID-19 pandemic, boosting immunity
has become a crucial measure, and significant steps have been taken to address
malnutrition as a means of enhancing immunity. Physical health, mental health,
and other aspects are directly related to malnutrition.
